It May be a fact that Anthony Taylor is a bad referee but in this case, I don't blame him for the German loss. He made the right call in this situation. If someone is to blame, then blame the German players. Re-look at the at the game and see how many opportunities the Germans had within 5 to 7 meters of the goal and could not convert. Look at the play where the opposing goalie was well away from the goal and the lone German player shot the ball in the stands. The game did not rest on this lone play but on the many missed chances by the German players. This is where the attention needs to be focused. Look at the fouls that the Germans committed without penalty. Not one German player left the game with injury. So if the referee was bad no team really profited from it.

According to Spanish newspaper Marca, UEFA hasd a meeting with refereees before the tournament and said that if the defender's arm is " completely or predominantly vertical, and by the side or slightly behind the body", then it's not a penalty. Cucurella's arm is predominantlly vertical, and by his side until the ball hits him, when his arm is forced back behind him. And before the ball hits him, he's actually moving his arm towards his body, not away. The only real debating point would be whether Cucurella's arm is sufficiently separate from the body at the momenyt of impact to warrant a penalty or not.

The situation itself would have been a 100% penalty. And nobody has shown us proof that it was offside. It was way too close to be sure. This rushed decision affected the game immensely.

Everyone using the Offside as an excuse but the explanation was worse. The Offside wasn't even clear since the Spain Knee looks in line with Germany player. The explanation was that it wasn't an intentional position of the hand. They have to stop making excuses to justify a decision or stop changing the rules every year. It was clear before if you make your body larger with your hands its hand. The hand was extended and completely block the ball. Or just go back to the basics either mark ANY hand in the area as penalty or mark hands as indirect free kick from inside the area. I don't know why they stop using that foul decision. Football either evolve or not. Don't stay in between since all these changes are making the game more confusing and worse. It's not helping at all.

Füllkrug wasn’t in offside and Cucurellas arm wasn’t natural movement it was on purpose, that’s the reason he was laughing so dirty. Clearly penalty. And that the VAR didn’t get into action makes it more useless!

Football is full of rules with room of interpretation, no VAR can change that. If we had very objective rules we wouldnt need a referee that interprets rules.
